Ergonomics is the study of designing equipment and devices that fit the human body, its movements, and its cognitive abilities. Employed to improve both productivity and health (which are of ever-increasing importance in the modern workplace), Ergonomics ensures tasks, equipment, information and the environment suit each worker.

At Gold Standard, we offer individual in-house Ergonomic Workstation Assessments, which fully comply with the most up-to-date of Health and Safety Regulations. Each assessment (and accompanying detailed report) includes:

• Computer Display Settings Consulting (which includes key recommendations upon monitor positioning, viewing angles, lighting conditions and visual strain prevention methods)

• Ergonomic Equipment Consulting

• General Workstation Layout Consulting (which includes issues such as the positioning of the workstation, the room's layout, the optimum positioning of work equipment in multi-user offices and work flow optimisation)

• Lighting and Illumination Consulting

• Posture Assessment Consulting (including the evaluation of both neck and seating issues)

• Room Evaluation with respect to the Operation and Manipulation of Work Equipment (focussing on user-specific tasks such as clearance for writing and typing)

• Working Height Assessment
