Ice Therapy
Ice Therapy, which is also known as Cold Compression Therapy, combines the Ice and Compression principles of R.I.C.E to reduce pain, inflammation, muscle spasms and swelling from a sports or activity injury. Also used to treat conditions such as arthritis, this therapy is especially beneficial for sprains, strains, pulled muscles and pulled ligaments.
Due to the combination of Cryotherapy and Static Compression this therapy is comprised of, it is also commonly used for the treatment of pain and inflammation after surgical procedures. Ice therapy is regularly used as part of a Gold Standard Chartered Physiotherapy treatment programme.
