Orthotics
O rthotics are orthopaedic insoles, which fit comfortably inside one's shoes. Restoring normal pressure/balance to your muscles and joints, orthotics enable one to enjoy daily life and/or sport in a pain-free manner. To explain the subject matter, structural problems in one's feet can alter walking and running patterns.
The end result of such is pain being felt in areas including the feet, ankles, shins, knees, hips and lower back. To understand the profound effect that subtle faults in your foot can cause, a clear and accurate assessment of the mechanics of your lower limbs is necessary. Using a comprehensive biomechanical assessment, we at Gold Standard conduct a complete diagnostic of feet/lower limb function, which enables orthotics and/or specific treatment (such as a Strength Development programme) to be accurately prescribed afterwards.
We at Gold Standard can prescribe a variety of shell strengths and flex to ensure each orthopaedic insole is ideally suited to one's individual requirements. Customised and temporary orthotics for running, for field sports, for golf, for work shoes and for fashion purposes are but a few of the various types available from Gold Standard's expert Chartered Physiotherapists and Podiatrists.
So if you suffer from sore feet, knock-knees, shin splints or joint pain; or have flat feet or fallen arches; or experience pain in your knees or achilles tendon; Gold Standard and their Orthotics Department genuinely believe they can be of assistance to you.
